Privacy Policy

How LaunchDock collects, uses, and protects information about people who visit launchdock.site or use the LaunchDock product.

For questions about how this policy applies to your account, email legal@launchdock.site. This page is informational and not legal advice.

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how LaunchDock ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information when you visit launchdock.site, create an account, or use LaunchDock. LaunchDock is an AI launch command center that helps small teams organize launch strategy, messaging, assets, outreach, and post-launch learning in one place.

We aim to collect the minimum information needed to run the service reliably and improve it over time. We do not sell personal data.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, password (stored hashed), and optional organization details. These are required to authenticate you and associate your work with your account.

Workspace and launch data

LaunchDock stores the launch content you create inside the product. This may include launch plans, product positioning notes, messaging drafts, launch assets, outreach contact lists, feedback you collect, and post-launch debrief notes.

Important: you should not upload personal data, contact lists, or other information that you are not authorized to use. You are responsible for the lawful basis under which workspace content is stored and processed.

Contact form data

If you contact us through forms on launchdock.site we receive your name, email, optional company, the reason for contact, the message body, and whether you consented to a reply. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

Email preferences and consent data

When you opt in to product updates or other communications, we record the consent event (timestamp, source, and the specific opt-in language presented). You can withdraw consent at any time from the email or in your account settings.

Product usage data

We collect basic, privacy-respecting telemetry about how the product is used — pages viewed, features clicked, errors encountered — to keep the service stable and improve it. Where possible this data is aggregated or pseudonymized.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies for authentication, preferences, and limited analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to manage settings.

How we use information

  • To provide, maintain, and operate LaunchDock.
  • To authenticate accounts and protect against abuse.
  • To respond to support and contact requests.
  • To send transactional emails required to deliver the service.
  • To send product updates only when you have explicitly opted in.
  • To improve the product through aggregated usage analytics.
  • To meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations.

AI processing and model training

LaunchDock uses OpenAI GPT-4o via API to generate readiness suggestions and drafts. Content you submit is sent to that provider under a data-processing agreement solely to deliver the AI features you request.

Customer data is not used for foundational model training.

AI prepares readiness suggestions and drafts. Your team keeps approval authority. AI cannot trigger external API push actions, publishing, posting, or sending without an explicit human Ship trigger.

How we share information

  • Service providers: infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, and AI processing performed on our behalf under contract.
  • Legal compliance: if required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request.
  • Business transfers: if LaunchDock is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to affected users where required.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share workspace content with third parties for advertising.

Subprocessors

  • AWS — hosting and data storage (us-east-1, N. Virginia).
  • Stripe — payment and subscription processing.
  • Postmark — transactional email delivery.

A Data Processing Addendum is available upon request via legal@launchdock.site.

Data retention

We retain account and workspace data while your account is active. Billing records are retained for 7 years to meet accounting and tax obligations. Deleted workspace data is held in soft-delete for 30 days before permanent deletion.

Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any follow-up.

User choices and rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw previously given consent.

To exercise any right, email legal@launchdock.site.

Security practices

  • Encryption: AES-256 at rest; TLS 1.3 in transit.
  • Access control: role-based access with Owner, Admin, Editor, and Viewer roles, plus least-privilege access to production systems.
  • Audit logs: immutable system logs track readiness gate overrides and permission changes.
  • Independent assessment: SOC 2 Type II is in progress; gap analysis completed May 2026.

No service can guarantee perfect security. We describe only the controls listed above and make no other certification or compliance claims.

Hosting and international use

LaunchDock is hosted on AWS in the us-east-1 region (N. Virginia, United States). If you access the product from outside the United States, your data is processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms with our subprocessors.

Children's privacy

LaunchDock is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact legal@launchdock.site and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the product or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
